Well being right brained and also doing a lot of art, I know that the person who designed this was drawing the eye to the right side.  The lack of color and simplicity of the left side were showing a very analytic look.  There is nothing wrong with that.  I’m just saying that from a basic look, your eye will immediately go to the right no matter what “side” brain you are.  You make a good point though that some people may like the left side better.  Personally I like strait lines and order and black and white but I am still right brained.  I guess I was just making the comment from the view of a right brained person and how it appeared to me.
